Look At An Amazing Video Showing One Of Our New 767s Being Built!
Since October 2013, FedEx in the US has taken delivery of three new Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft. These three planes are the first of the 50, 767s FedEx ordered and which are scheduled to be delivered through the end of the company’s fiscal year 2019. The 767-300 joins 777s and 757s in the company’s growing fleet of more efficient, lower-emission freighters.
The 767 brings FedEx an array of double-digit efficiencies. It is approximately 30% more fuel efficient and has unit operating costs that are more than 20 percent lower than the aircraft it replaces. The ability to share parts, tooling and flight simulators with FedEx 757 freighters is another efficiency of the 767.
The operational efficiencies of the 767 will mirror those of the other new aircrafts we continue to introduce, in line with our continuing aim of providing the best, the most reliable and the most-cost-effective aircraft and airfreight services.
Across our aircraft fleet, we project a 30% reduction in our carbon emissions by the year 2020. In addition, we are committed to sourcing at least 30% of our jet fuel needs from alternative fuels by 2030.
