Important Notice for Document Shipments to Australia

Effective from October 12, 2005, the Australian Customs Service (ACS) will implement new import regulations for document shipments to enhance security. The new regulations will require additional entry procedures for all document shipments entering Australia.

To avoid unnecessary delay to your document shipments, please remember to include the following information on the FedEx International Air Waybill:

  1. The contact name and telephone number for both shipper and recipient
  2. The full address for both shipper and recipient
    (PO Boxes are not accepted).
  3. Complete description of the contents
    (For example, Business Documents & Legal Documents)
  4. Total value of the shipment, and in what currency
  5. The recipient's Australian Business Number (where applicable)
