Air Waybill Requirements
The International Air Waybill (AWB) is an important customs document that needs to be completed before sending packages overseas. The AWB has a tracking number which can be used to check the delivery status and current position of the shipment. This form can be completed on the fedex.com/au website, or by using a hardcopy version which is available at any FedEx World Service Centre or FedEx Authorized ShipCenters®.
It is very important that the information provided on all sections of the AWB is complete and accurate.
In the “Sender Information” and “Recipient” sections providing a correct telephone number for both the shipper and recipient is essential. This allows FedEx to contact customers if there are Customs clearance issues at the destination or a change in delivery details.
Providing the correct and complete information on the AWB will reduce any delays in getting the shipment to the recipient.
