Introduction of FedEx Declaration Amendment Service Fee
All FedEx shipments with a customs value of over AUD1,000.00 require a formal customs declaration for customs clearance purposes. To ensure that declaration forms are completed correctly and comply with customs requirements, on behalf of its customers FedEx often needs to make amendments to these declaration forms after clearance.
As carrying out these post clearance amendments requires additional resources, FedEx will be introducing a new declaration amendment fee of AUD132.00 (including GST) effective December 1, 2009.
One of the benefits of our declaration amendment service is that in some cases it may result in a customs duty/tax refund for our customers.
