Printable Version Express Packaging Tips
Use these packaging tips to make sure your FedEx Express shipments arrive in great shape every time.
General Packaging Information
- Packages must be larger than 7 " x 4 " x 2 " (17.78 cm x 10.16 cm x 5.08 cm).
- Center contents in a sturdy box surrounded by cushioning (bubble wrap, "peanuts" or foam pads).
- Cushion fragile items inside one box, then put into a larger box with a layer of at least 2 " (5 cm) of cushioning material around and inside the inner box.
- Cover sharp or protruding edges with taped corrugated panels or pads.
- If contents may be damaged or soiled in transit, place them in a protective container.
- Do not exceed the weight specifications for your box.
- Do not wrap the outer box with paper.
Special Shipments
- Perishables acceptable for transport by FedEx must be able to withstand a minimum of 36 hours transit time.
