Help Options


Help Menu

  • Click the Help menu at the top of each page to access the following tools:
  • Help with this page – Includes FAQs, specific instructions and additional information for the sections and processes you see on the screen.
  • Online Technical Support –Gives you the opportunity to Find Answers Online, chat online with a FedEx Technical Support Agent or Submit a Question.
  • Interactive Help Guide –Offers a demo, the ability to practice using our applications, assistance during actual transactions, a printable User Guide and “What’s New” information.

Departments – Profile


Create a Department Profile

  1. On the Departments screen, click Add.
  2. Enter the details for the department profile you’re creating and assign the appropriate shipping account(s).
  3. Click Save to save the information you’ve entered and return to the main Departments screen, or choose Continue to save the information and continue on to the Department Privileges screen.
  4. If you decide not to save the department profile you’re creating, click Cancel. This returns you to the main Departments screen.

Edit a Department Profile

  1. On the Departments screen, select the Department and click Edit.
  2. Enter the details for the department profile and assign the appropriate shipping account(s).
  3. Click Save to save the information you’ve entered and return to the main Departments screen, or click Next to save the information and continue on to the Department Privileges screen.
  4. If you decide not to save the edits you’ve made on this screen, click Cancel. This returns you to the main Departments screen.

Navigate between the Department screens

Click Next or Previous to navigate between the Department Profile, Department Privileges, Department References or Department Defaults screens.

Department Details


Company name

Enter or edit the name of the company associated with this Department.

Department name

Enter or edit the name of the Department.

Department ID

  • If you are creating a new Department, enter a unique ID for the Department, up to 20 alphanumeric characters. Department IDs are used when searching for or viewing a Department Profile, as well as when running Department shipping reports.
  • If you are editing a Department, the Department ID cannot be changed.

Accounts


Add accounts to a Department

  • If you are editing a Department, select one or more existing accounts from the Available Accounts list and click Add. The accounts then appear in the Assigned Accounts list.
  • If you are adding a Department, select the first account from the Available Accounts drop-down menu.

Remove accounts from a Department

Select one more accounts from the Assigned Accounts list, and click Remove. The accounts are no longer associated with the Department and now appear in the Available Accounts list.

Create a new account for a Department

Click Add new account. Enter the new account number, account nickname, contact name and address information on the Add New Account screen, then click Save.
Please note that an account added to a Department must be an existing and valid FedEx account that already exists on the FedEx Database. Although the account information (city, state, ZIP) must match the account information provided to FedEx when the account number was requested, it does not have to match the Department address information. Shipping Administration Users may be shipping from a different physical location than where the account number is based.

Edit an account nickname

  1. Select the account from the Available Accounts list, and click Edit account. This brings up the Edit Account screen.
  2. Make any changes to the account nickname on the Edit Account screen, and click Save.
  3. Note: If the account contact or address needs to be changed, you must remove the existing account and create a new account using the new contact and address. Please refer to the instructions above to remove accounts and create a new account.
