FedEx SuperCroc Lives to Deliver Art Contest 2002

SINGAPORE, January 11, 2002 - Federal Express Corp. (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, has embarked on a mission to inspire the next generation's curiosity and interest in science, technology and engineering.

Adhering to the government's call to nurture a culture of creativity and innovation in education, FedEx is organising a colouring and drawing art competition for all Primary Schools in Singapore. The FedEx "SuperCroc Lives to Deliver" Art Contest is held in conjunction with the SuperCroc Exhibition held at Plaza Singapura Atrium from January 5 - 28, 2002, organised in co-operation with the National Geographic Channel.

FedEx is transporting the Sarcosuchus imperator, a giant replica of a 110 million-year-old dinosaur-eating crocodile, nicknamed SuperCroc through its AsiaOne network for the exhibition. The Asian destinations include Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.

The theme of the competition is "SuperCroc Lives to Deliver", to reinforce FedEx belief in delivering important educational values to a cross-generational audience through interactive learning, as well as empower the students' imagination and ingenuity.

Students from Primary 1 to 3 are required to colour an A4-sized colouring sheet depicting the FedEx delivery of the SuperCroc to Singapore. For Primary 4 to 6 students, they are invited to draw the SuperCroc visiting any one of the five cities in Asia (Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan). The drawing must include some famous landmark of the city. The colouring sheet and other information on the contest can be found in a school pack sent to all Primary Schools or from the FedEx SuperCroc website at www.fedexsupercroc.com.

Students can submit their entries through the FedEx "SuperCroc Lives to Deliver" Art Contest Drop Box located at the SuperCroc Exhibition at Plaza Singapura. Prizes totaling S$4,225 will be awarded to the winners and their respective schools. The competition closes on January 20, 2002 and the results will be announced on January 27, 2002 at a prize presentation ceremony cum exhibition at the SuperCroc Exhibition at Plaza Singapura.
