FedEx Appoints Joseph Frank to Expand Transportation Solutions Business

HONG KONG, June 26, 2003 - FedEx Express (FedEx), the world’s largest express transportation company, has announced the appointment of Mr. Joseph Frank as the Managing Director of FedEx International Transportation and Solutions, effective July 14, 2003.

Reporting directly to Ms. Dennice A. Wilson, Vice President of FedEx Supply Chain Solutions, Asia Pacific Division, Mr. Frank has been charged with broadening the company's transportation capabilities to meet customers' evolving needs.

He also assumes responsibility for the overall planning, development and implementing of supply chain strategies and expansion in Asia Pacific. He will be based in the regional headquarters at Hong Kong.

"As the Asia Pacific region abounds with new opportunities, we are pleased to have Joe Frank to steer and further strengthen the company's supply chain services and offerings, in particular in the fast-growing market of China." Ms. Wilson said.

Prior to joining FedEx, Frank was the Vice President of Logistics for Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (SATS) where he directed the merger and acquisition strategies. In addition, he developed and implemented the Logistics Division for Singapore Airlines in the Asia Pacific region to handle value-added services for customers.

Mr. Frank spent 16 years working at UPS Freight Services (Fritz Companies, Inc.) in Singapore, where he focused on all sales, operations, and financial activities for the South Pacific region comprising India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
