FedEx Ship Manager Software is a desktop shipping solution enables you to automate and manage your entire shipping process. FedEx Ship Manager Software offers great time-saving features and functionality — all with the reliability and convenience you expect from FedEx.


Getting Started

To get started with FedEx Ship Manager Software, you need a FedEx Account Number. If you already have a FedEx Account Number call 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339 to order a copy of FedEx Ship Manager Software on CD.

If you do not have a FedEx Account Number, you can open a FedEx account  now

Convenience

Shipping:
Easy-to-use, printable shipping labels allow you to efficiently process intra-Canada and international shipments. FedEx Ship Manager Software speeds up the shipping process and eliminates additional connection time by enabling offline processing.

International Customs Documents:
Complete and print Commercial Invoices and other documents for your FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® shipments. Enter all information for international document shipments on a single screen and ship commodities faster by entering required information upfront. You can also reprint customs documents and international shipping labels.

Hold File:
Use the Hold File to store information for pending shipments or for shipments you plan to repeat.

With the click of a mouse, access timesaving features on fedex.ca, such as scheduling a pickup.

Speed

Auto-Population of City and Province/State:
Enter a recipient’s postal/ZIP code for intra-Canada and U.S. destined shipments, and FedEx Ship Manager Software automatically populates the recipient’s city and province/state.

Multiple-Piece Shipping:
Enter package dimensions for multiple-piece shipments, choose shipping and rating preferences for multiple-piece shipments, and select “Identical packages” if some of the packages are exactly alike.

Visibility

Shipment Notifications:
You can choose to send Shipment, Exception and Delivery e-mail notifications. E-mail notifications can be sent to you, the recipient and other individuals. They are available in multiple languages and in HTML, text and wireless formats.

Package Status Tracking:
Locate a package with a few keystrokes, even without the tracking number.

Customization

Reports: 
More than 25 flexible daily and customized reports provide essential information to more effectively manage your shipping activity.

Databases: 
Store thousands of names and addresses for fast, reliable shipping. Add information when you ship, or import your address book.

Networking: 
Install FedEx Ship Manager Software on a network server that supports up to five computers. You can share databases and ship packages from your own computer.

Technical Requirements

To install and begin using FedEx Ship Manager Software, depending on the platform you use, you will need the following:
  • Pentium® IV 2.0 GHz recommended (Pentium IV 1.70 GHz minimum)
  • 512 MB RAM recommended (256 MB minimum)
  • 200 MB of free disk space
  • Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2, Microsoft® Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 4, or Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 with Service Pack 1
  • LAN or DSL Internet access recommended (dial-up telephone line access minimum)
  • 4X CD-ROM or higher
  • 3.5" floppy drive
  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer® v. 6.0
  • Available port if using a thermal printer
  • Laser and/or inkjet printer for reports and labels
  • Screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels recommended (Minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels)


Note: FedEx Ship Manager™ Software does not currently support the Microsoft® Windows® Vista™ operating system. If you currently have FedEx Ship Manager Software installed on your system, it is recommended that you do not install any of the current editions of Microsoft Windows Vista. If you currently have Microsoft Windows Vista installed on your system, it is recommended that you do not download/install FedEx Ship Manager Software. FedEx currently supports the following operating systems: Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2, Microsoft® Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 4, or Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 with Service Pack 1.

FedEx Ship Manager™ uses the InstallShield Wizard to guide you through the program setup process. The installation includes the Microsoft Visual J® Redistributable Package 2.0 and the Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0. Follow the on-screen instructions to accept the license agreements for the items and install them on your PC. Download and install the latest service packs and security updates for these components.
