What is the likelihood that Canada Post service will be disrupted?

FedEx sincerely hopes negotiations between Canada Post and CUPW are resolved amicably. We will not speculate on whether these negotiations will result in a service disruption.

How is FedEx preparing for the possibility of a postal service disruption?

Our number one priority is to continue delivering the exceptional service our customers expect from FedEx every day. In the event a Canada Post labour dispute triggers an increase in demand for FedEx services, we have developed a comprehensive contingency plan to manage additional volume. This plan includes the ability to adjust some of our intra-Canada services to ensure the needs of our existing customers are accommodated first and foremost.

If Canada Post service is disrupted, can FedEx handle more shipments?

Should Canada Post experience a disruption to their service, FedEx will execute a comprehensive contingency plan to manage increased volume. All customers are encouraged to contact their FedEx account executive or call 1.800.Go.FedEx 1.800.463.3339 to learn how we can accommodate their needs. This plan includes the ability to adjust some of our intra-Canada services to ensure the needs of our existing customers are accommodated first and foremost.

Invoices and Payments

Do I still need to make payments by the due date during a postal service disruption?

Yes. It is important to keep your account current. You will still be required to make payments on time during a postal service disruption.

How will I receive my invoice during the postal service disruption?

To receive your invoices online, please register for FedEx Billing Online at fedex.ca/invoice.

What are my payment options?

For your convenience, FedEx offers several payment options:

  • Electronic Funds Transfer

    Choose FedEx from the Payee List
  • eCheque
