On June 17th, several new and enhanced features have been added to FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.ca™ to improve your shipping experience.

Additional Option for International Document Descriptions
If you ship international documents, you now have an additional option in the documents description dropdown list to describe your own document type. Simply choose "Your document description" to enter a document description up to 52 characters in the free form field.

Stamped Manual B13A Reminder
For your convenience, you will now see a reminder on the Canada Customs export information screen reminding you that Canadian shippers are required to file the shipment tracking number with their Manual B13A Export Declaration for applicable international shipments.

FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.ca™ Shipping Administration

The Shipping Administration feature of FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.ca™ allows one or more persons to centrally administer and control shipments that are processed by multiple individuals within a company.

More control over users and added flexibility
As an Administrator for your organization, you now have an added option when setting up new Users on FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.ca™ Shipping Administration. If you want to create and manage a User's login ID, password and shipping profile, you can select the "Create a new user" option. If you prefer that new Users maintain control over their own Login ID, password and shipping profile, you can select the "Invite new user" option as before.


Improved User management
The Company Administrator now has the ability to assign a user to one of the following specific roles:

  • Regular User (non-administrator)
  • Department Administrator
  • Company Administrator

The choices now appear in the "Edit" or "Add User" profile screens.

The new Department Administrator role allows the same functions as current Company Administrators, limited to an assigned department or multiple departments. This includes:

  • adding and modifying users within departments;
  • assigning privileges and references to users within a department;
  • creating departmental customized shipping reports.

Enhanced global visibility, access and control
As a Company Administrator, you can now set up Users within your organization who are also located in other countries, giving you global visibility and centralized control throughout your organization. You will now see a country dropdown list when Adding a new User.
