When you ship using FedEx Ground to the continental U.S., you will need the appropriate FedEx Ground international bar code and labels.

  • Use FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.ca™ to complete FedEx Ground international bar codes and the FedEx Ground Manifest for shipments within Canada
  • If you don't have easy access to a computer with an Internet connection, you can order FedEx Ground international 'peel and stick' bar codes and a FedEx Ground Pickup Record book by calling 1.800.GoFedEx.

International Bar Code and Address Label
FedEx® International Ground packages to the continental U.S. require an International Ground Bar Code label and an Address label. The Bar Code label gives every FedEx Ground package a unique identity and is the tool that provides en-route tracking and quick Signature Proof of Delivery (SPOD). In addition, you must complete the required customs forms and place them in the "Customs Documents" pouch or use your own envelope marked "Customs Documents" and attach this to your shipment.

To prepare your Canada - U.S. FedEx Ground shipment with FedEx Ground 'peel and stick' labels, follow the steps below:

1. Create an Address label and affix it to the top of the package. Include the ZIPl code and recipient's telephone number.
2. Affix a FedEx International Ground Bar Code label on top of each package. You can also order preprinted International Bar Code labels by calling 1.800.GoFedEx.
3. Complete and affix a blue FedEx Ground International Shipment label to each package to indicate the total number of packages in the shipment. You can order FedEx Ground International Shipment labels by calling 1.800.GoFedEx.
4. Complete the FedEx Ground Pickup Record with each day's shipments and provide it to your courier at pickup. You can order a FedEx Ground Pickup Record book by calling 1.800.GoFedEx.
5. Apply the 'FedEx Ground Tracking ID' to your FedEx Ground Pickup Record when you request declared value or other special services.
