The First Fully Integrated E-commerce Service Launched in Thailand by Shincorp's Redundance

In collaboration with Federal Express and KrungThai Bank, "Easy Commerce" is now available for local businesses that want to go global

BANGKOK, March 21, 2000 - Shin Corp's Redundance Co., Ltd., a Transaction Processing Service & Solution Provider, today launched a fully integrated e-commerce service called "Easy Commerce". Targeting small and medium-sized Thai companies that want to offer their goods on the Internet, Redundance has developed a software that coordinates all the stages involved for successful e-commerce transactions, from the creation of a website, the acceptance of orders, to insurance, customs clearance, the collection of credit card payments, and the collection and transportation of goods.

FedEx, the world's largest air express transportation company, will handle the logistics of delivering the packages from Thailand to customers around the world. This will be made possible by FedEx's PowerShip®, a complete automated desktop shipping system that can be operated by Redundance in their own office. PowerShip® provides substantial efficiencies and benefits by enabling customers to reduce shipping paperwork, streamline billing and track their shipments in real-time.

To ensure an efficient payment system, Redundance and KrungThai Bank have developed an integrated technology called Fifth Generation Payment Getaway" that offers real time fees calculations covering all countries.

Mr Surin Ritheephamorn, Chief Software Architect of Redundance, said, "Here in Thailand, it was difficult for e-commerce to expand, since there was no provider for integrated e-commerce services. Redundance has developed a software that covers all aspects of an on-line business and will coordinate efficiently with FedEx, for transportation logistics, and Krungthai Bank, for credit card payments. This system will enable the supplier to take care only of preparing and packing the goods to be sent to the customers, and the rest is taken cared of."

Mr Surin added that this integrated solution is an excellent opportunity for local businesses because it will mean smaller capital and reduced expenses. "We are also designing a communications plan to support the businesses that will be using our services. Redundance will be pleased to work with all parties including Internet service providers (ISPs), computer companies, web hosts, and programmers who are interested in Easy Commerce."

Redundance Provides Security

Security is one of the key elements for a successful venture in e-commerce. Easy Commerce employs encryption technology which combines Secure Socket Layer (SSL), Secure Payment Protocol (SPP), Digital Signature and Triple DES 128 bit. Buyers all around the world can be 100% assured that the goods will get to them, while the supplier is provided with guarantees as well.

Mr Surin points out that Easy Commerce is the all-inclusive solution for Thai businesses that want to become players in the global market.
