"Toll-free number for customer service"
Jakarta, April 11, 2001 - FedEx Express announced the availability of its FedEx hotline service at 0800-1-888800 for fast and reliable access to FedEx's customer service offices in Indonesia, free of charge.
FedEx in Indonesia is the first air express company to offer a toll-free hotline service. There are seven call stations throughout the country, namely: Denpasar, Bandung, Batam, Jakarta, Medan, Semarang, Surabaya. Each customer call on the hotline number from any part of Indonesia will be routed to any of these seven stations depending on the location of the caller. For example, a call on the hotline service from a shipper in Jepara will be routed to a customer service representative in Semarang because Jepara is nearest to Semarang.
"The FedEx hotline will be yet another service enhancement for our customers in Indonesia. Not only is it a free call, the hotline can be accessed for any information regarding our customers' important shipments", said Harsha E. Joesoef, President Director of PT Repex Perdana International, FedEx's sole licensee in Indonesia.
FedEx currently serves more than 30 countries and territories in the Asia Pacific market with nearly 7,000 employees. The company provides the most extensive trans-Pacific airlift of any major competitor. Operating its own wide-bodied MD-11, DC-10 and A310 aircraft, FedEx offers over 260 flights per week to Bangkok, Beijing, Cebu, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kaohsiung, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Osaka, Penang, Seoul, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore, Subic Bay, Sydney, Taipei and Tokyo, as well as destinations in the U.S.
