TOKYO, May 6, 1999 - Federal Express Corp. (FedEx), the world's
largest express transportation company, announced today that the
company will open a new office in the World Business Garden, Makuhari,
as of June 1, 1999. A portion of the employees currently working
at its Japan headquarters will relocate to the new office. The need
for the new office at Makuhari is a result of the continued growth
of FedEx business and the increase in the total number of employees.
The new office is located at World Business Garden, Marive West
8/9/10F, 2-6 Nakase, Mihama-ku, Chiba-shi, Chiba 261-7110.
The company's Japan and Regional Headquarters will remain at its
current address:
Kyodo building 5/6F,
16 Ichibancho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 102-0082.
"I'm pleased that we will have a new office in the World Business
Garden, Makuhari," said David J. Ross, Vice President of North Pacific
Region. "World Business Garden is a modern intelligent building
that provides us with upgraded business and office environment.
This relocation will enable all employees at both Tokyo and Makuhari
to do their jobs in a more comfortable and functional working environment."
