September 10, 2001- FedEx was ranked among the top 6 "Best Employers in Asia" as determined by a first ever pan-regional survey sponsored by Hewitt Associates, the Far Eastern Economic Review and the Asian Wall Street Journal.
Ann A. Mullis, Vice President, Personnel at FedEx Asia Pacific accepted the honor from Dale Gifford, Chief Executive Office of Hewitt Associates in a special awards ceremony in Hong Kong last Wednesday's evening.
In addition to the regional distinction, FedEx was also recognized as one of the top five Best Employers in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia, among the top 10 in Singapore and Korea and the top employer in Thailand.

The "Best Employers in Asia" study was designed to examine current employment practices across Asia and was conducted among companies in China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Based on survey results, the "Best Employers In Asia" rankings were compiled by a specially selected judging panel in July.
