BRUSSELS, Belgium - March 5, 2007 - FedEx Express, a unit of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world's largest express transportation company, today announced the appointment of Beth Galetti to vice president of Information Technology for Europe, Middle East, Indian subcontinent and Africa (EMEA) effective Feb. 1.
Galetti will be responsible for a department that significantly enhances the FedEx customer experience by providing customer automation and scanning technology tools, overseeing systems integration and other technology applications for the EMEA region. She succeeds Eric Keane, who was recently appointed senior vice president, Information Technology at FedEx Services, Inc.
Galetti previously served as vice president of Information Technology America for FedEx Services, with responsibility for all IT projects in Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean region. She joined FedEx in 1997 as a senior program analyst and in 2000 was promoted to manager of Program Management and Quality Engineering and then to director of Global Shipment Information. In late 2001, Galetti took on the role of director of Integrated Clearance Solutions, fostering global collaboration to provide next-generation clearance systems across the five FedEx Express international regions-Asia Pacific, Canada, EMEA, Latin America and the United States.

Before joining FedEx, Galetti worked in the telecommunications industry, developing fraud detection software in support of the business and personal telecommunications' networks.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Galetti earned her bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Colorado Technical University.
