Regulation on KJ3 Category of Chinese Inbound Shipment
Recently, the General Administration of Customs of the PRC issued a statement regarding its Decree No.39 of 2009 which clearly states the declaration regulation for KJ3 category of Chinese inbound shipments*. The statement said that when making customs declarations for imported KJ3 category shipment, the express company should declare the detailed shipment information including goods specification, model, quantity, measure unit etc. in the commodity name column on the Customs Declaration Form.
FedEx will follow the relevant customs regulations. We advise that overseas shippers who want to ship KJ3 category shipment into the PRC should correctly fill in goods specification, model, quantity, measure unit etc. on the relevant documents attached to the shipment (such as air waybill, commercial invoice, etc.) so as to save time and facilitate a smooth import customs clearance process in China.

*KJ3 category shipment: dutiable goods samples and advertising materials (goods subject to control of import license which needs to be paid in foreign exchange when importing is excluded)
