Important Notice for Dropping off and Picking up Bulk Shipments in Beijing during the Olympic Games

To ensure the success of the Olympics, the Beijing government has introduced a series of traffic control measures. As a result, there will be some changes to our Domestic Time-definite services for bulk shipment pickups and drop-offs. Shippers or consignees might be required to go to FedEx domestic time-definite service locations to pickup and drop off bulk shipments in Beijing. Please contact our Customer Service Hotline on 400 889 1888 in advance to confirm the arrangement.

A bulk shipment is defined as:

  • Weight of a single package >60kg; or
  • Weight of a single shipment >200kg; or
  • Size >80cm x 80cm x 80 cm

Special Notes

Shippers

  • Together with the package, please ensure you provide the original valid ID document of the shipper, the completed Consignment Note, and other relevant documents
  • Customers with a valid FedEx Account Number must also present an authorization letter issued by the account owner and stamped with a valid company chop
  • To ensure the timely delivery of your shipment, please provide valid contact numbers for both the shipper and the consignee

Consignees

  • We will inform you of the pick-up location by phone
  • The person picking up the shipment is required to present a valid ID document. (If that person is not the consignee, he/she must present his/her own ID and that of the consignee.)
  • If the consignee is not an individual, an official authorization letter issued by the consignee and stamped with a valid company chop must be presented to receive the shipment
  • To ensure the timely delivery of your shipment, please provide valid contact numbers for both the shipper and the consignee
