Dear Valued Customer,

To ensure the success of the Olympics, the Chinese government is implementing a series of measures in the run-up to and during the Games. These measures cover, but are not limited to:

  • Special regulations and policies on import and export shipments
  • Tightened security inspections of shipments; and
  • A series of traffic control regulations in Beijing and other cities where Olympic events will be held.

FedEx will comply with all relevant regulations, and at the same time remains committed to providing the best possible service it can to customers in light of the new measures.

New Regulations Update

Following the introduction of tightened security inspections, export and import shipments will be screened through X-ray machines, and some shipments will be opened for inspection. As a result, delivery delays are expected. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you. To check the latest status of your package, please go to www.fedex.com/cn and click on “Track Shipments”.

To ensure your shipments pass through Customs smoothly, and that FedEx can deliver your shipments as quickly as possible, we advise you to do the following:

  • Comply with all regulations and procedures required by the authorities
  • Prepare your shipment and documents in advance, and make sure all the information supplied is accurate and valid
  • Ensure that the details on your shipping documents match the items you are shipping; and
  • Ensure that you provide the correct name and a full description of the commodity or item you are shipping in your documents.

Meanwhile, Beijing will enforce the first phase of a series of traffic control measures on July 1 as part of efforts to reduce the number of vehicles on the city’s roads.

We thank you for your support and understanding.

Sincerely,

FedEx Express (China) Co., Ltd
