Shipping Tips
What Is IPF?

If your shipment has exceeded the specified length or weight, FedEx will arrange a space according to the size of your shipment in advance and provide IPF service. IPF stands for "International Priority Freight". It\'s our international priority delivery service for over-length and over-weight shipments.

What\'s the definition of an over-length or over-weight shipment? We have three measurements for each package: Length, Width and Height. These are defined as:
a. the length of the largest surface is Length
b. the longer part of the smallest surface is Width
c. the shorter part of the smallest surface is Height

If your shipment has any of the following features, it will be treated as over-length or over-weight:

  • The Length is 274 cm or more
  • The sum of the Length and Girth is 330cm or more
  • Any single package weighs 68kg (150 lbs) or more

This service is also available to International Priority DirectDistribution? If your shipment contains more than one item, please note that:

  • A maximum of 999 items and 10 commodity categories are allowed for one bill
  • The declared value of each item cannot exceed US$100,000. The declared value of any single item to Brazil cannot exceed US$1,000.
  • The delivery time for this service is two to three days longer than our normal international priority freight service.
