Special operation notice launched by the Custom Authorities regarding the anti-violation of intellectual property rights
 
Effective immediately and until December 31 2006, a special operation launched by Customs is enforced pertaining to the anti-violation of intellectual property rights through the channels of postal offices and express services. This is as per the Announcement (2006) No.355 issued by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.
 

  1. This special operation mainly concerns the export of products that carry a famous brand name. All exporting companies must provide the real name, brand and model of the relevant products to Customs when making a declaration. If shipments are considered
  2. The operation does not apply to personal goods; however, in cases of the same article being shipped from different shippers to the same consignee at any one time, these shipments will be monitored closely.
  3. To date Customs has not issued a detailed list of those companies which are under close monitoring.
