FedEx InSight®: Providing an enhanced level of shipment visibility to help you work more efficiently

Resource Planning and Managing Your Supply Chain

Managing inventory in motion across global supply chains requires access to a high level of detailed information. FedEx InSight offers this kind of visibility, allowing you to communicate shipment information to both ends of your supply chain — customers and suppliers. Because information is displayed and updated dynamically as events occur, you can readily adjust resources as needed, from adding more employees to a production line to providing missing customs documents.

FedEx InSight:

  • Proactively tracks your inbound, outbound and third-party-payer FedEx shipments with no tracking numbers required.
  • Uses your account number(s) to provide status information, placing greater flexibility and control of information in your hands.
  • Automatically notifies you by e-mail, Internet or wireless device of critical shipping events — such as clearance delays, shipment exceptions, consolidated proof of delivery and delivery pre-alerts — so you can take appropriate action.
  • Helps pinpoint customs delays and shipment exceptions, then suggests recommended actions to expedite delivery.
  • Gives you the visibility to proactively communicate shipment information to customers and suppliers.

You can view this letter online or print it out. Simply click on “Signature proof” when you track a shipment and follow the instructions. Even if no signature is available, you can still view and print the available proof of delivery information.
