Printable Version FedEx and the U.S. East Coast
FedEx has a massive presence across America’s Eastern Seaboard and provides strategic access to major urban areas of the North-eastern United States while connecting these markets with other business centres throughout the country and internationally. With a wide range of services and an unrivalled air and road network, FedEx is the world’s largest express transportation company.
A story of inexorable growth
It all began in Memphis in 1973 when Frederick W. Smith set out on a great adventure — the development of express transportation. Within 10 years FedEx was the leader in the field in the U.S. and by 1984, having covered the American market, the stage was set for international expansion. Starting with Paris, Dubai, and Subic Bay in the Philippines, FedEx set up major hubs worldwide and quickly started providing door-to-door express transportation service with guaranteed on time delivery, including unrivalled customs clearance, to over 220 countries. In 35 years, there isn’t much that FedEx has not delivered: from automotive parts, classic cars, and Formula One racing cars, to vital medical supplies, retail fashion replenishments and even white tigers and penguins.

With FedEx, you can track your import or export shipments at any time on our web site. Where it is in real time, the time it was delivered and the name of the recipient. FedEx also provides you with a range of automated solutions to prepare your shipment and access customs information and other documents that may be required.
Customs clearance expertise
Exporting to the U.S. means meeting government regulations (health and safety, restrictions on certain products, and so on) and respecting necessary customs procedures.
