In September 2008 FedEx launched the redesigned Global Trade Manager (GTM). The enhancements to the tool include:

• Optimised navigation and easy-to-find tools from a redesigned International Tools homepage.
• Launch of a Document Preparation Centre (DPC) which serves as a central library for document preparation and re-use’ including horizontal integration with FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com
• Access to shipping prohibits and other alerts, as well as service levels and details of countries supported.

The most powerful enhancement for our international shippers is the launch of the Document Preparation Centre (DPC) within the newly redesigned Global Trade Manager. The DPC is unique in the market place and includes the following features:

Find and select your documents:
Select from commonly used documents or search the extensive document library for exactly what you need.

Save Document Profiles:
Access and search your saved document profiles to re-use the customs documents associated with a specific shipment. Simply move your mouse over to see the list of documents in the profile. You can also select to ship on one of your profiles and send all your saved information direct to FedEx Ship Manager.

Finish your document in your own time:
Need to step away? Don’t have all of the information yet? You can save partially completed documents in the Pending Document section to complete whenever it is convenient for you.

Keep track of completed documents:
View, search, edit and reprint your recently completed customs documents, or save them as profiles, right from your Document Archive.

Customize your documents:
Upload your company letterhead for customised and professional documents. You can also add a logo or an electronic signature (whenever signature images are allowed) to include in documents you complete online.

Horizontal Integration with FedEx Ship Manager® at fedex.com
Once you’ve accessed the information you need from FedEx Global Trade Manager, you can click on the Ship button at the bottom of the results page to go directly to FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com and create your own international shipping label. All the data you have previously entered into the FedEx Global Trade Manager tools will prepopulate in the respective fields on the FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com shipping screen, ensuring fast and easy label completion.
