Printable Version FedEx Express introduces significant improvements to its homepage site

FedEx continually looks for ways to make its key information and update services as user-friendly as possible.
A recent initiative was the launch in September of a new 2.0 version of the fedex.com homepage for use throughout Europe as well as in the Middle East and Africa. New features on the homepage include the following:
- A Flash banner menu which lists all current campaigns, promotions and fedex.com tools. The overall design and reduction in the number of sections is conceived to improve the look-and-feel of the page and make its use easier.
- Three text-size icons in the header which allow users to enhance page readability as necessary by enlarging the font size from 9 points up to 14 points.
- A Flash Alert message concerning service changes due to unexpected events out of FedEx control, which will keep users informed of all such temporary problems and ensure that they do not waste their own valuable time.
This new version of the Homepage is the latest stage in a continuing program of planned improvements. FedEx’s goal is to ensure that its web-based online systems and programs always provide FedEx customers with simple-to-use and identical Europe-wide information services, and work is therefore already well advanced on the redesign of version 3.0.
