Avoid Clearance Delays By Using A New Feature On FedEx Ship Manager™ at fedex.com
We’ve just launched a new feature on FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com that’s specifically designed to help you avoid your shipments being held by customs or subject to other clearing delays.
This important service enhancement provides alerts to ensure that you include on your Commercial and Pro Forma Invoices those details that are required to meet the regulatory requirements of each destination country. Key aspects of the new feature include the following:
- A FedEx-generated Commercial or Pro Forma Invoice will no longer be available if the destination country does not support it.
- If the destination country requires an official letterhead and signature to appear on the FedEx-generated Commercial or Pro Forma Invoice, you can upload and include these details. Once you have generated such an upload you never have to repeat the process – the relevant details will be automatically available for all shipments requiring such information.
- You can now enter Importer/Buyer contact and address details that are different from those for the Consignee. You can in addition also provide the name of the person who has completed the customs documentation on behalf of the shipper.
We recommend that you take a few moments to check these new details on FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com. The Customs Documentation section provides relevant invoice alerts and entry fields when required by the destination country. You should also upload any required images - this is especially important when using our FedEx® Electronic Trade Documents (ETD) with a FedEx-generated Commercial or Pro Forma Invoice.
Enjoy trouble-free shipping, customs clearance and delivery to your customers on time, every time with FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com.
