FedEx Air Cargo Security

Updated November 13, 2010

In our ongoing efforts to make our global express network even more secure, FedEx is working closely with security agencies around the world to implement security measures. In compliance with new directives, the following restrictions on cargo shipments are in effect:

Yemen All shipments outbound from Yemen are suspended. This restriction went into effect at the end of October and will remain until further notice.
U.K. Shipments of toner cartridges from any worldwide location to/from the United Kingdom weighing more than 500 grams (more than 16 oz) may not be accepted. Multiple cartridges in one shipment are allowed if each toner weighs less than 500 grams (under 16 oz).
Guam Due to regulatory compliance directives, certain commodities cannot be transported to Guam. Please contact your local Customer Service Hotline or your account representative for assistance.

We want to assure you that security is a core value at FedEx; protecting our global transportation networks is, and will always be accomplished through close cooperation between private sector operators and government security agencies. We, like other carriers, are working with the Transportation Security Administration as well as other international security agencies around the world to identify areas where the use of new technologies and tactics can detect attempts to misuse our system as quickly as possible.

We take any security threat seriously and will act quickly, aggressively and responsibly with law enforcement agencies worldwide.
