FedEx started its partnership with Kodak since March 2002 in Beijing. Eight Kodak Express Shops were selected to start trial operation at the beginning stage. The value-added service is welcomed by local customers and has, to some extent, enhanced customer flow and business development. It is proved to be a well-received win-win step. So far, the service has been expanded to 31 Beijing Kodak shops, which helped to form a fairly complete self-delivery service network all across Beijing. With this successful Beijing story, Shanghai launches as many as 28 shops at its beginning stage. This also symbolizes the quick economic development as well as the growing demand for international express service in the city of Shanghai.
