Regulatory Update for Exporting Textiles to Bulgaria and Romania
Effective January 1, 2007, Bulgaria and Romania will join the European Union (EU)*. Customers shipping textile shipments to these two countries will need to submit the following textiles license as a Comprehensive Export Licence will no longer be applicable after December 31, 2006.

In addition, Certificate of Origin (CO) may be required depending on the types of textile product you are exporting.
- CO is required for textile product categories listed at the link below:

Customers shipping goods in the above categories are reminded to provide the corresponding CO number in their EN I or Export License Application.

- For exporting textile product categories not listed at the above links, please declare the origin on the commercial invoice.

*27 EU member states from Jan 1, 2007: They are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
