2004 Press Releases
Singapore, July 30, 2004 - FedEx Express (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, will launch a new television commercial across the Asia Pacific region to highlight the teamwork of FedEx employees in ensuring the reliable and on-time delivery of customers' packages. The commercial debuts in Singapore in July and August, 2004.
"Our new ad continues our highly successful "WeLiveToDeliver" platform by focusing on the teamwork of our people," said Malcolm Sullivan, Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications for FedEx Asia-Pacific. "Everyone at FedEx - from our couriers and customer service employees to our station and hub operations teams - works as a seamless unit to go above and beyond for our customers. We strive to find solutions to unexpected challenges so that packages are delivered on time, every time, anywhere in the world."
The ad's storyline demonstrates this teamwork and dedication. A customer calls in the FedEx team for help with an urgent, but unruly package. Amid the chaos created by this "difficult" package, the FedEx team works together to find a creative solution, capturing the package and ensuring its delivery.
Explained Mr. Sullivan, "Customers constantly face all sorts of shipping and delivery challenges. Our new ad sends a strong message that the FedEx team will always go the extra mile to deliver quality service and a satisfying customer experience. It does so with tongue-in-cheek humor that we hope will brighten up our customers’ day."
Ramesh Kumar Singam, Managing Director of FedEx Singapore and Indonesia said "FedEx is consistently ranked as one of the best companies in the world to work for. It is because we create an environment that encourages our employees to go above and beyond for the customer."
In addition to Singapore, the commercial will air in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. It was created by BBDO and directed by Sergio.
