FEDEX APPOINTS NEW VICE PRESIDENT FOR SOUTH PACIFIC OPERATIONS IN ASIA PACIFIC

Hong Kong, April 12, 2005 ˇV FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world's largest express transportation company, today announced the appointment of David Ross as Regional Vice President for its South Pacific operations.

Based in Singapore, Mr. Ross will be responsible for developing and executing the companyˇ¦s corporate strategies and operations for FedEx in the South Pacific region, which covers Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Indochina.

With over 12 years of experience at FedEx, Mr. Ross brings a strong operations background and an extensive knowledge of Asia to the position. Prior to taking up this role, Mr. Ross was serving as Regional Vice President for FedEx North Pacific, which includes Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Guam.

Mr. Ross replaces Peter Yin, who now assumes the role as Regional Vice President for FedEx North Pacific with immediate effect. Mr. Yin will be based in Tokyo and will be responsible for managing the companyˇ¦s corporate strategies and operations for FedEx in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Guam.
