There is a useful new feature that we have added to the ‘Get Rates and Transit Times’ tool on fedex.com.
You can now get a more precise rate for your shipment by using the “Add special services” options.
On the ‘Package and Shipment Details’ section, click on the ‘Add special services’ button. You can then select from the available special services options in order to describe your shipment in more details. For example, you can state whether your shipment contains dangerous goods, if dry ice is required and so on.
Integrating these factors into the “Get Rates and Transit Times” tool on fedex.com enables us to provide you with a more accurate online rate for your shipment. In addition, you can identify if a particular service is available for your shipment, as the FedEx special services depend on your shipment’s origin, destination, and package and shipment details.
