The beautiful game returns as the UEFA Europa League kicks off once again! It's our third year as Main Sponsor, and we couldn't be more excited about this season's terrific line-up. Legendary clubs including Arsenal FC, Villarreal CF and SS Lazio will pit their skill and talent against formidable opposition from across Europe as they bid to reach the Final and take home the trophy as victors.
Another Game Changing Delivery by FedEx
After celebrating the success of its first pitch with the community in Cañada Real, Madrid in June 2017, FedEx inaugurated a second ‘Field in a Box’ last month in Mrągowo - an underserved community in north-east Poland.
“It’s fantastic to talk to the young people using these pitches and know that FedEx’ involvement in projects like this is making a real difference to the opportunities of the people who play on them,” said David Binks, president of FedEx Express in Europe and CEO of TNT.
At both events FedEx team members participated in a football3 tournament with young local players – a methodology that turns the artificial turf football field into an important arena in which to develop life skills such as dialogue, responsibility and team work.
‘Field in a Box™’ is funded as part of FedEx Cares - a broader pledge to invest $200 million USD in more than 200 communities by the year 2020. The planned expansion of the program to other continents ensures that FedEx continues to complement its professional football sponsorship with locally beneficial initiatives.
