FedEx Express has announced a new toll free 1 800 209 6161 for customers in India in addition to the present toll free 1 800 22 6161. The new toll free number has been introduced to facilitate better support to the growing customer base in India and is in line with the company’s efforts to enhance customer experience.

Customers can call toll free 1 800 209 6161, Monday through Saturday from 9am-9pm to inquire about services, tariffs, pick-up schedules, in addition to checking the status of their shipments. With the launch of the new toll free number, FedEx Express will discontinue the following numbers from August 31, 2008:

• 9818170000 for customers in Delhi
• 9840570000 for customers in Chennai
• 9880170000 for customers in Bengaluru

The number can be accessed from all locations in India except the following locations;

• Assam
• Jammu & Khasmir
• North East ((Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura)
