Its not new for FedEx to ferry unusual shipments and September 7th saw a FedEx non scheduled commercial charter flying out with 70 tonnes of Solar Panels for Spain from Hyderabad. The panels will be used for solar farming in Madrid-Spain. FedEx flights are regularly chartered besides the regular line hauls in BOM & DEL.M/s Cargo Marketing International & Infinity Logistics along with The Freight Center negotiated the charter deal with FedEx Charter Sales and the local Freight Sales team in India.
Flight and Cargo Palletizing was ably handled by Hyderabad Menzies Air Cargo Pvt Ltd., the handling authority for cargo complex in Hyderabad. The Ground Handling Agent- M/s Aircon simplified all regulatory procedures and ensured smooth handling thereby giving all required support to Flight Ops, Engineering/Maintenance & Immigration of Load Master.
“It was an amazing experience to see the FedEx flight land for the first time at the new Hyderabad Airport”, said Sanjay Patil, Partner Infinity Logistics. “It was team work all through. The handling authorities took charge and ensured there was smooth handling of cargo and the flight”, added Dinesh Khanchandani, Partner The Freight Center.
