Korea Tightens Scrutiny of Shipments Valued at less than US$100
Effective July 1, Korean customs will strictly screen non-dutiable shipments with a value of less than US$100. To avoid delays in customs clearance and delivery of such shipments in Korea, shippers are required to provide a full and accurate product description on the air waybill.
You are therefore advised to inform your overseas shippers to provide the following information when they send shipments with a value of less than US$100 to Korea:
1. Detailed description of commodity and specification
2. Commodity value
3. Consignee name and address
4. Quantity of commodity
