Printable Version Recognising International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day was celebrated on 8 March and FedEx took that opportunity to recognise the diversity of its staff.
In what is sometimes seen as a male-dominated transportation industry, women play an important part in our company – in all roles and at all levels.
FedEx, of course, is committed to supporting all of its employees. The company has won recognition across the world for its ongoing drive to hire the right people for the right jobs irrespective of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or creed.
FedEx is a great place to work and has a reputation as a progressive employer. Our recruitment policies, our in-house support programs and our inclusive environment have earned numerous awards and accolades from leading organisations, institutions and publications. FedEx regularly appears in the high positions in the ‘Great Place to Work’ survey in many countries across Europe.
Recruiting and retaining a diverse range of staff is vital in helping the company fulfil the needs of its diverse customer base. Contented, motivated employees tend to be high performers and deliver outstanding customer service – which is at the heart of what FedEx does.
