FedEx Express was voted “The Employer of the Year 2009 “ during the recent prestigious European Business Awards ceremony hosted in Rome on 7th April.

The European Business Awards is an independent scheme designed to recognize and promote excellence, best practice and innovation in European companies.  There are ten separate award categories designed to identify outstanding company performance in the following areas: Business Innovation, Growth Strategy, Customer Focus, International Entrepreneur, Corporate Sustainability, ICT effectiveness, Employer of the Year, Environmental Awareness, Marketing Strategy and Business of the Year.

More than 7,000 companies entered the 2009 European Business Awards scheme and only 99 reached the top level of achievement which is recognized by the award of a “ Ruban d’Honneur. “Only companies that win this award are eligible for consideration for European Business Awards in each category.
