FedEx customers in Belgium and Luxembourg have recently voted Luk Boxy (Belgium) and Philippe Leyder (Luxembourg) as their Couriers of the Year. All our customers were asked to nominate and rate their couriers, on a scale from 1-10, on their politeness, presentation and helpfulness. They were also invited to make additional comments on specific matters of service and performance, especially concerning couriers who not only provided a consistently reliable service throughout the year but were also always ready to do that little bit extra to solve a particular problem or to do something that really helped them out.
In announcing the winners Patrick Stienlet, Managing Director Operations Benelux, said that both Luk and Philippe highly deserved the Courier of the Year Award. They are excellent ambassadors for FedEx, showing personal dedication to providing customers with outstanding service. Luk and Philippe received many impressive comments from their customers.
Luk Boxy, 40, has worked for FedEx since 1997 and currently serves the Leuven area. Luk was especially highly rated for consequently delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Philippe Leyder – or “Phil Good” as some of his customers call him - is 24 years old and works for FedEx Luxembourg since 2005. On accepting his award he said that it “felt very good” to hear that his customers trust him and his service and he thanked everyone who nominated him the Luxembourg Courier of the Year.
The ability of our couriers to make, develop and handle efficient, friendly and personal face-to-face relations with individual customers and to go “above and beyond” the normal call of duty is a key factor behind our internationally recognized high standards of staff training and development. It is also a reason why many FedEx managers including those in top management positions started their careers learning invaluable skills and information in front-line jobs like couriering.
Our annual Courier of the Year Award plays a very important part in our commitment to providing the best possible service, so we therefore thank all those customers who participated in the latest voting programme.
