FedEx Extends Telephone Call-in Cut-off Times in Kaohsiung and Pingdung

Customers can enjoy later call-in cut-off times and deliveries on a same-day flight

TAIPEI, September 1, 2003 - FedEx Express, the world's largest express transportation company, today announced that effective on September 1, 2003, the telephone call-in cut-off times in the designated areas of Kaohsiung and Pingdung will be extended by up to four hours, providing more convenience for customers in Southern Taiwan.

Shipments to all destinations including those in Asia, Europe or the United States can be sent on a FedEx flight the same day by calling the FedEx customer service hotline at 0800-075-075 with a pick-up request. Alternatively, all required documentations including customs forms can also be faxed to the FedEx Export Documents Department before the cut-off time. These extended call-in cut-off times allow customers in the Pingdung Industrial District, as well as other parts of Pingdung to ship their packages the same day.

"FedEx consistently strives to provide the best service for Taiwan customers. This service enhancement follows the extension of call-in cut-off times in the Greater Taipei area," said Jimmy Chen, Managing Director of FedEx in Taiwan. "Customers in Southern Taiwan will have more time to arrange for delivery of their shipments on the same day. This service enhancement is another demonstration of FedEx。ッs commitment to providing customers with more flexible and convenient express solutions."
