EXCEPTIONAL GROWTH SEES SECOND FEDEX STATION OPENED IN KLANG VALLEY
Kuala Lumpur, 12 January, 2004 – FedEx Express (FedEx), the world’s largest express transportation company, today announced the opening of a second station in the Klang Valley for business, providing local shippers in the Klang Valley with more services and convenience when sending their packages overseas.
The new FedEx facility at Lot 25, Jalan Delima 1/3, Subang Hi-Tech Industrial Park in Shah Alam means that customers can drop off their shipments at the World Shipping Centre from 8.30am to 6.00pm Mondays to Fridays, and 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays. The new FedEx Express Centre in the Klang Valley will play a pivotal role in assisting the manufacturing and export industry in Asia, which is demanding faster and more reliable business solutions to assist companies enhance their efficiency” said Ms Tay.

In addition to the new facility in the Klang Valley, FedEx has a total of eight Express Centres located in Penang(2), Petaling Jaya (2), Sepang, Ipoh, Kuching and Johor. FedEx has gateway operations at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang, as well as at the Penang International Airport in Bayan Lepas. FedEx's state-of-the art 25,000 sq ft cargo handling facility at KLIA was opened in July 1998, with the 40,000 sq ft Penang operations at MAB Cargo Complex launched in 2001.
