Printable Version Massive Expansion of FedEx International First® Service

FedEx International First® is a premium express service, with time-definite, customs-cleared, door-to-door delivery for packages up to 68kg. It has all the benefits of our FedEx International Priority® service, with the added advantage of guaranteed early morning delivery to get your shipment there right at the start of the business day.

From 1 January 2008, FedEx has implemented a major expansion of its premium FedEx International First® (FIF) service. You can now guarantee early morning delivery between Europe and the United States for more destinations than ever before.

Two new countries have been added to the FIF coverage in Europe - FIF is now available in Spain and the Netherlands. In addition, FedEx has increased massively the number of postcodes served by the FIF service in all European countries from 271 to over 6,100.

From 1 January, FIF is available from the US, Puerto Rico, Canada and 30 Latin America countries to 6,159 postcodes in eight European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK.

The FIF service is available to the US from 11 European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands, and the UK.

There are new delivery commitment times too. Our FIF inbound service gives you early morning delivery by 9.00, 9.30 or 10.00 a.m. to key business centers across Europe. These times are slightly later than previously (8.00 and 8.30 a.m.) in order to improve the likelihood that offices are open and attended to accept delivery of your shipment. You can send your FIF shipment to be delivered in the United States next business day by 8.00 or 8.30 a.m. The service is available from Europe to over 13,000 ZIP codes in the US.
