New Zealand to Australia International Economy Service Launch
With effect from March 28, 2011, New Zealand customers will have the ability to send FedEx International Economy (IE) shipments to Australia.
The FedEx IE service provides the same door-to-door delivery, same online tracking and same money-back guarantee as our FedEx International Priority (IP) service. The main differences are that it costs less than it would to ship the same package to the same destination with the FedEx IP service, and takes 1-2 days longer, so it’s ideal for those less urgent shipments.
The FedEx IE service will be available from all direct served locations in New Zealand including Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington to all direct served locations in Australia. These locations include Sydney, Rydalmere, Canberra, Gosford, Newcastle, Wollongong, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
The call-in cut-off times for the FedEx IE service will remain the same as the FedEx IP service in New Zealand. Please refer to the table below.
