Letter of Authorization Required for Consignee and Third Party Pay Shipments from the Philippines
A Letter of Authorization (LOA) is required by FedEx for all non-Philippines consignees and third parties who are the payers for outbound shipments from the Philippines.
Shippers in the Philippines are advised to obtain the LOA from their overseas payers before tendering the shipment to FedEx. The LOA should state that the consignee / third party agrees to pay for the shipment(s) and the letter should be included with the air waybill and commercial invoice when the shipment is ready for pick-up or being dropped off.
Please also note that consignee and third party billing options are only available to customers who have a valid FedEx account number.
