Ramesh Kumar Singam named Managing Director of FedEx Express Singapore and Indonesia
SINGAPORE, 28 August, 2003 - FedEx Express (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, has appointed Ramesh Kumar Singam as the Managing Director of FedEx Singapore and Indonesia.
In his new role, Mr. Kumar Singam will continue to implement FedEx's overall strategy in providing total supply chain solutions to enhance the business processes of all companies - from small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to multinational corporations.
Reporting directly to Mr. Peter Yin, Regional Vice President of FedEx South Pacific, Mr. Kumar Singam has been charged with the responsibility of growing the market base, focusing on providing companies in Singapore and Indonesia with global, business-to-business supply chain and express transportation solutions. Mr Kumar Singam is based in Singapore.

With 10 years of experience at FedEx Express, Mr. Kumar Singam brings to the position a strong customer service and operations background and an extensive knowledge of Asia. Previously, he served as the Managing Director of FedEx Express operations in Malaysia and Brunei. There, he led the company to best employer status, improved service offerings with expanded direct services into Johor Baharu, Malacca, Ipoh and Kuching as well as introduced a nighttime pick-up of up to 8.30pm. In addition, under his direction, FedEx Malaysia was voted as best overall business brand by Superbrands Asia.
