Important Information

Accessible Dangerous Goods
May only be shipped using FedEx International Priority® or FedEx International Priority® Freight service. See the FedEx Service Guide for more details.

Account Benefits
FedEx offers qualified businesses the convenience of charging all inbound and outbound shipping, customs duties, taxes and related fees on one account number. With a valid FedEx account, no cash is needed at the time of shipping or receiving packages.

Address Correction
If the recipient’s address is found to be incomplete or incorrect (e.g. incorrect postal codes, omitted apartment numbers or former street addresses for recipients who have relocated), or if a valid telephone number for the recipient is not provided on the air waybill, a special handling fee of US$7.50 per address correction will be assessed.

Broker Routing Fee
For shipments when a broker is in a different metropolitan area than the consignee.

Dangerous Goods
Are not acceptable to all international locations.

Declared Value for Carriage
For FedEx International Priority service, the maximum declared value for customs and carriage (the FedEx liability for any loss, damage, delay, etc.) is US$50,000 or US$9.07 per pound for shipments. For many shipments, you may declare a value for carriage of up to US$50,000 or US$9.07 per pound, whichever is greater. For FedEx International Priority Freight service, the maximum declared value for customs and carriage is US$100,000 or US $9.07 per pound. For many shipments, you may declare a value for carriage of up to US$100,000 or US$9.07 per pound, whichever is greater. NOTE: Items of extraordinary value may only have a maximum declared value of US$500. Call for more information.

Declared Value for Letters and Paks
FedEx Envelope maximum declared value is US$100 and up to 1/2 lb., or 30 unfolded pages. FedEx Pak maximum declared value is US$100 and up to 2 lbs. Over 2 lbs. use FedEx International Priority Rates.

Dimensional Weight
FedEx Express may assess transportation charges based on the International Air Transportation (IATA) volumetric standard. Dimensional weight is calculatedby multiplying the length by width by height of each package in inches and dividing the total by 166 (standard density in cubic inches per pound). If dimensional weight exceeds the actual weight, charges may be assessed based on dimensional weight. Dim factor for shipments to the U.S. is 194.

Extra Large Packages
Extra large packages are pieces weighing less than 151 lbs. that exceed 165 inches in length and girth combined. These pieces may be refused, or may be considered as freight shipments once accepted by FedEx, and a minimum billable weight of 151 lbs., may be applied regardless of actual weight. Length and girth of a package is calculated as follows: length plus (2 times the height) plus (2 times the width). If the dimension includes a fraction, a fraction of one-half or greater will be rounded up to the next whole number; less than one-half will be rounded down to the next whole number.

Fuel Surcharge
All shipments are subject to an adjustable fuel surcharge. The surcharge percentage will be subject to adjustment monthly using a rounded average of the U.S. Gulf Coast (USGC) spot price for a gallon of kerosene-type jet fuel, as published monthly by the U.S. Department of Energy. Changes to the FedEx Express fuel surcharge will be applied effective the first Monday of each month. The surcharge percentage will be reflected on your FedEx invoice. The percentage for each month will be available at fedex.com approximately two weeks before the surcharge is applicable.

Inaccessible Dangerous Goods
These dangerous goods classifications may be shipped via most FedEx Express international services. See the FedEx Service Guide for details.

Limits of Liability
The maximum liability for loss, damage or delay or any claim with regard to any shipment is limited to US$100 or US$9.07 per pound (whichever is greater), unless the shipper declares a greater value for carriage and pays an additional fee.

Payment Terms
Invoices for transportation charges are payable within 30 days of the invoice date. Invoices for duties and taxes are payable upon receipt.

Puerto Rico Excise Tax
FedEx prepays the assessed customs duties and taxes for your express shipments. A fee of US$5.00 or 2% of the duties advanced will be billed to you for this service. Please register for this service through the local FedEx Tax department.

Storage Fee
Per day fee for shipments unclaimed or otherwise left at a FedEx Station more than 48 hours after notification to the recipient and/or designated broker.

Certain restrictions apply. Not all services and products available in all markets. Please call FedEx Customer Service for more details.
