The Pollution Control Department of the National Environment Agency (NEA) has implemented new regulations on the import of used electronic equipment. Proper declarations must be provided by the consignee if their shipment is meant for personal use. Any mis-declaration or false declaration is an offence under the relevant rules and regulations, and may leave the consignee liable for prosecution.
