Certificate of Origin requirement for green tea imports into Singapore
With immediate effect, all exports of green tea and green tea products from Japan to Singapore will be required to carry a Certificate of Origin (COO) for customs clearance.
The COO should be obtained from the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Fishery and Forestry (MAFF) via the individual prefectural governments in Japan.
To expedite customs clearance, the prefecture of origin in Japan must be stated in the shipment’s permit declaration and the COO faxed to the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA).
