Korea Customs Services Prohibits Certain Commodities from being classed as Non-Dutiable Shipments 

Korea Customs Services (KCS) prohibits certain commodities from being classed as non-dutiable shipments even if they are valued at less than US$100. Please ensure that you and your customers are familiar with this prohibited commodity list.

The commodities prohibited from being classed as non-dutiable shipments by KCS are listed below:

1. Agricultural / Livestock / Fishery – commodities requiring quarantine.
2. Cigarettes, Tobacco
3. Alcoholic Liquors
4. Health Promotion Food
5. Medicine
6. Cosmetics
7. Herbal Medicines
8. Items suspected to be pirated or copied
9. Wild Animals (e.g. Specimen)
10. Heavy Weight Shipments over 30kg
11. Food Stuffs
12.  Commodities with an incorrect description / value / weight
